Of course nothing to be scared. Thieves are in any country, but not only thieves live here, as Aleksy wrote..
Your car is safe as anywhere else, you just have to lock the door and not to leave anything interesting on the seat. No laptops or mobiles left while leaving the car, the rules of safety are as everywhere then.
