Making friends in South Korea

• I have been living for 6 weeks in South Korea now - and all my friends are foreigners!!! Why is it so hard to make Korean friends? Sometimes I get the impression that they prefer to stay amongst themselves. This is not really what I expected when I came here cause I would really like to learn something about the local culture.

  I came a cross this page, and I am Korean living in Australia, though visiting Korea for a month soon. However I am really surprised to hear all those people can't find Korean friends in Korea?? It's difficult to imagine you people can’t find Korean friends. There are more than plenty of Korean who would love to have foreign friends. Those people who find difficult to find Korean friends are a bit shy themselves? Also many Korean people just wish to have foreign friends but they are quite shy to express their feelings so my advice is be brave and go for it.
