saudi women have many rights that you never expect it

we have right to study for free until graduate from college and some times travel to study out side saudi arabia also for free and also treatment in hospitals for free

and women have speacail treat in saudi arabia because we are treated like queen

in family usually men serve women and they should spend on women even if women have their own financial resources because islam say that

  • know saudi arabian girl

    Hi Cassandra,

I have seen your post up for awhile but haven't bothered to write anything because I am neither Saudi Arabian nor female. I do have a friend who is both, however.

She is an American citizen, but lived in Saudi Arabia (where both of her parents are from) for much of her child, and has gone back to it for much of her life.
As you might expect, she much prefers to live in the US as she is treated much differently here than there. She has also said that she refuses to date Saudi Arabian men, because no matter how nice they seem when she first meets them, they almost always turn controlling, jealous and misogynistic.

So there's her two cents. Good luck with your report.

Hey all! I'm Nisan and I'm Turkish (also Muslim).
I have met with some Saudi girls during the MUN conferences.
You told that you lived comfortably and had lots of rights. They were just like you! From the "lucky" group! Even you can called "lucky" that you had read these stuffs and could write your own comments but there are the ones who has no right and also no life! Some of them are satisfied with it who are not educated and a little blind I think, and some of them are still struggling with the enduring agony!

I really want to visit ur country and do whatever I can do for those ones..

    regards..

  • I wish to post this article

    Dear Csandra;
I wanted someone to hear the story about this oppresed girl in Saudi Arabia, so I decided to post it so you may have an idea of what really is going on.
No doubt that we are living in quite difficult times in which human rights have reached a point in which it became worthless. 700 people getting slaughtered in Gaza and no does nothing, it became a normal phenomena. The matter is that many citizens in Saudi Arabia have shown deep remorse and extreme outrage of what is going on, and continuously ask question such as: “until when will Muslims be oppressed?” Well let me put it this way, before looking at your neighbors back yard start looking at your own, and before occupying yourself about others problems start by looking at your own. People here talk about oppression as if the only oppression going on has been committed by Jews, Americans, Mongols …etc forgetting that within the Saudi society sever oppression is continuously and excessively taking place without seeming to ever abate. We judge the morality of a society by the way the most vulnerable are treated, and I believe _as well as facts and statistics indicate_ that Women in Saudi Arabia are mistreated and oppressed severely. This must stop, for enough is enough.

True, the topic is not new, it takes place on a daily bases, but there comes a time that some cases just get out of hand and that something must be done. Within the last months of year 2008 there was an incident that has been quite shocking to me, and I just was informed by it recently. A young American girl in her early twenties was suspected of dating a boy friend (mind it was only a rumor, it never reached to any level of reality) and that she would meet him after classes. The father who happened to be from a Saudi tribe decided to take action based on the repost of his teenage son. They waited for her outside Dammam College. As soon as she has been detected in their visual spectrum, the both (father and son) rushed to her and embarked on their disciplinary process, beating her in front of teachers, drivers, students and police, but no one dared to take action. Well that’s how it ended then back in 2008, but what about her now? She is in house arrest under her father’s law and no one is able to contact her until today.

Unfortunately, this is one of the simplest examples, no one dares to help. The pattern of events are quite repetitive and well known to the extend that these stories are never taken into consideration. Teenage boys have serious problems within the kingdom. They have all the right to flirt with girls as long it is secretive__ and due to their unrestricted mobility, they can do as they please without being caught. Due to their indulgence they come to suspect heir female relatives and tend to exercise their manhood by disciplining them. To make things worse, in the Saudi culture males (no matter how young or old) tend to have full credibility and authority over females, thus surrendering the fate of these vulnerable women to these immature degenerated teens.

In most world cultures, men who beat women are regarded as cowards, but in Saudi Arabia they are regarded as men who are heroic and tend to protect their dignity and honor. They suppress their women from the most basic human rights, such as going out to a restaurant or even a store, then they dare to condemn others of injustices and oppression.

By no means do I mean to understate what has been going on Gaza, oppression is oppression, what ever the scale is or the place, but it was the irony of the approach off these narrow minded extremist and their perception of life that triggered me to state this point: “Before you criticize the actions of others, start by criticizing yourselves”, and that if you can’t lift the injustice that is taking place in front of your own eyes within your house holds, then don’t expect any positive outcomes.

  • ha ---- Every religion/region has black Sheeps

i really Respect Cassandra for choosing such a topic.

before moving Forward, briefly about me...indian, working in saudi since 2 yrs. i feel Saudi a great nation and people are best.

as above comments by Saudi Daughter and sara....yes i agree with them. in Islam where it preaches and provides an full equality and respect to women. no other Religion give equal status. Women in Hijab/veil, does not mean she is oppressed or she does not have freedom. here they get good education.they are allow to study as much as they can.

here they are best Mothers, good Daughters, dignified better-half and epitome Sisters.

in veil, she maintains her dignity, she is secure with unwanted eve teaser. women body is not for Display like western people seems.no religion allows there females to expose her body.(nor Christianity nor Hindu nor other religion)

regarding her freedom, here Saudi ladies enjoy it. they are happy with there families.

crime against women is less then compare to other nations. more women's life are secure by all means.

more womens are abused and molested in western nations, treated as commodity.

    here womens are protected.

only issue is of women driving.
ha..... for every reason there is best is hidden. all critics, think..think..evaluate and compare with Driving womens and non-driving womens and there Pro-n-Cons.

Beside this, Every nations has few Black Sheeps.
You cant compare whole country with few.

For Example: father in Austria was INCEST he abused/Molested his daughters and had Children with her. there are many cases in Western countries with these issues. this does not mean Austria or western people are Bad or all fathers are INCEST.

Hope you all will agree with me.

I do live in US and my husband is lebanese (muslim) and he got the crazy idea on working in saudi arabia, actually he is in saudi arabia working already and expecting me to go there with my three kids, Let me tell you something, I do know a bunch of ppl (muslims living here in the state) that tells me their own stories, so let me tell you this, with all that i have been searching and all that ppl have been telling me, NOT EVEN CRAZY i will live there, these muslims people advised me NOT TO GO TO SAUDI ARABIA, so I feel sorry for my husband because he has to come back to the US. I will never live in a country were they dont know what humans rights are and another thing is that I WILL NOT LIVE UNDER NOBODY RULES, and nobody is going to tell me how I have to dress and stopping me from going outside by myself. GOD MAKE US FREE, WE ARE FREE. Bo, I will thank you for writing this article so I dont have go all over and repeat what you already said. To Cassandra : This is the reality, there is no freedom and no human rights in that country.

  • Report on Saudi Arabia

Hello I'm a high school student, in the U.S. I recently read the book Princess by Jean P. Sasson its about the life of a Saudi Arabian women. Its a great read it helped me alot with understanding that sometimes these women aren't so lucky with the one who is chosen to marry them. Sometimes its a perfect match and those that are lucky just are lucky. I dont want to offend anyone her but I like somethings about their rules and somethings i dont like. For example that women are more likely to be killed doing the same crime as a man and the man hardly gets punished i think thats a little to harsh but i dont know everything. It also makes me cry when a female baby is born theres sorrow and when a male baby is born theres happiness but i guess that makes alot of since because the Father needs a son for his generation to continue and so on. I cant imagine what its like not being able to chose who your going to marry or never meet them before the wedding on occassions. I'm young but i dont judge people or governments sometimes things have to be a certain way for countries to servive and become strong. I think its wonderful that women dont have to work and then that gives them more time to spend with their children i wish my mom had that time happy. Just wanted to say everything isn't bad, but sometimes you have to be strong, even if your the unlucky ones, and look for happiness in the simplest things in Life, even if its just that your getting food everyday because you never know there maybe something happending to someone thats even worse. But look on the bright side of things you dont have to worry about the Money or anything like that. okay i have to go class just got out sad.

Maybe you should ask him, about the Saudi Rules since he is a Saudi Man and knows the Saudi Rules. One is that No Saudi can marry a nonSaudi i believe and he might possibly have to get three more wifes. Cuz.. (Because) in Saudi Arabia men that can afford the have four wifes do. But these days its more common that men only have one wife.

You should also look into or look up their rights.
