A question or two

• Hi, I have a question. I know someone who is being dragged into a situation about getting someone into the country. I want to have my facts correct on this. Guy lives in US, has a criminal record and probably wont even get into UK for a visit let alone to stay. Plan seems to be to get UK girl pregnant when she visits US and then he will get to come over due to being father. I think that is BS and wont be allowed. Am I correct? (I hope so)
  
  I am imagining even if they got married, she would need to do it in US and even then that doesnt guaruntee he gets in does it?
